ON THE AMALFI COAST:
From june to september in Ravello: RAVELLO MUSIC FESTIVAL:
This extraordinary music festival dedicated to Richard Wagner, first started in 1953, presenting a series of symphony and chamber concerts every year, along with opera, ballet, cinema and theater: an assortment of artistic rapresentations held together by the common denominator of the "dream", which was one of Wagner favorite themes. 

IN SORRENTO AREA:
Many of the festivals in Sorrento are religious, while other events are quite the opposite, with concerts, muvie screenings and regular markets. Each year on february the 14th, St.Antonino the Patron Saint of the city, is remembered with many different events and celebrations. Easter Week is another big event for the city, with many different processions which the most important is on the evening of Good Friday, remember the Death of Christ. This last Procession is known as the Procession of the hooden man and is one of the most important in Italy. Other important events are the Summer Music Festival in july and august and the Sorrento Film Festival in november. 

IN NAPLES:

Every springtime since 1994, Naples has become the stage for a series of shows and traveling cultural events. During this period, private collections and monuments that are normally closed to the public are made accessible for everyone. Each spring, the Maggio dei Monumenti event has a different main theme and depending on this theme, special itineraries shows and other artistic events are organized in the old city center and in the areas around Naples.

IN SAN GIOVANNI ROTONDO
The tomb of St. Pio from Pietralcina, was opened for the first time after His funeral, the night of march 4th, 2008. His body was well-preserved, except for the skull and face that was in a skeletal condition. His face, because too decomposed, was recostructed with a lifelike silicone mask.FROM APRIL 24th, His body placed in a glass coffin, will be on public display in the Crypt of the Old Church of St. Mary of Grace, till SEPTEMBER 2009.
More then a million pilgrims are expected this year in San Giovanni Rotondo, to see His body.  For devoteed of St. Pio, interested to the vision of His body, to avoid long lines of pilgrims, is recommanded to make a RESERVATION, at least one month before the visit.
